The University at Buffalo Rugby program strives to maintain these same standards of excellence. Established in 1966, the club has enjoyed a winning tradition ever since. As a member of the powerhouse Rugby East conference we regularly compete with some of the top programs in the country as well as against teams in the Big 10, MAC, Ivy League, and other conferences.
Absolutely NO EXPERIENCE is needed to join the team, whether you are a football player looking to shift directions, a hockey player looking for something new, or a rugger from another organization, we will teach you all you need to know. Small or big, we can use you. We are a big supporter of students from foreign countries, and have players from all different corners of the globe play for us. If you are the type of athlete or rugby player that loves a challenge and would like to compete with the best consider continuing your academic and rugby career here at the University at Buffalo.
The best way to get started is to just show up to one of our practices. Our field is next to the tennis courts by the Ellicott complex on the North Campus (directions). We practice Tuesday through Friday, from 5:00 PM to 6:30PM during the Fall Season.
